In 2001, CPS developed a technology for the machining of impellers for compressors from monolithic structure through EDM process. Today CPS owns an innovative technology for the manufacturing of these components implemented within a production plant equipped with 60 EDM machines, which are able to satisfy machining up to a diameter of 2.000 mm.

CPS owns a technology for the manufacturing of three-dimensional impellers from monolithic structure. Over the last years, due to the need to build better performing equipment which use these components.
CPS in synergy with its Customers has created a machining department for the complete milling of impellers equipped with 12 milling/boring machines (5 axes), with working capacity of 400-3.000 mm diameter.

CPS is specialized in the machining of components for gas turbines, steam turbines, hydroelectric turbines, centrifugal compressors and alternative compressors.
This department is equipped with milling/ boring machines with working capacity up to 40.000 mm and vertical lathes of a diameter up to 14.000 mm.

Thanks to specific investments in horizontal lathes with diameter up to 4.000 mm and turning length up to 16.000 mm, and boring machines equipped with NC-controlled divisor, CPS performs the complete machining of any rotor.

Blings manufacturing can be performed in two processes, Milling and EDM technology. The choice of the manufacturing process usually depends on the shape of the blades and their accessibility.
The manufacturing of blings is performed by CPS in its milling department equipped with 13 milling machines (with 5 axes) with work capacity from 400 to 4.000 mm and in its EDM department equipped with 60 machines of diameter up to 2.000 mm.

Thanks to the availability of a wide range of high performance machine tools, CPS is able to provide all type of Rings, Shrouds and Turbine Housing.

CPS is specialized in machining, welding construction and assembly of medium and large products according to Customer specifications. CPS offers its Customers not only the capability of highly customized machining, but also the complete supply of material and components, thanks to its consolidated relationships with the main Italian forging companies and certified suppliers.
In order to offer the best customer service, CPS also takes care of the maintenance and overhauling of medium and large components, such as complete turbine shafts, generator shafts and assembled units.

The production department is equiped with machining centers able to produce parts that require accurate degree of precision and finish, starting from materials with high mechanical characteristics: high strength steels, titanium, Inconel and aluminum.

CPS in recent years has created a fully equipped and independent department for the processing and management of medium and large fabrication. It uses latest generation stress relief heat treatment as well as sandblasting and painting advanced plants.
